Believe it or not, if the answer to that question is YES, you’re not alone. When I was 5 years old, I hand-colored my first ‘book’ on Steno notepaper and called it, “My Sick Day.” Then I proudly presented it as a gift to my grandmother and announced, “When I grow up, I am going to be an author.”

I often hear that same kind of story from the authors we work with at Scriptor Publishing Group. For example, I recently interviewed Donna Fatigato, author of TWO Amazon bestsellers,  Q2: A Health Recipe for a Balanced Life and Rise Above: 8 Portraits of Life Transformation. She told me that growing up, she also always felt like she wanted to write a book. Her favorite subject in school was English and she even took some critical writing courses in college.

Although she loved to write, like so many other people, that dream was put to the wayside. She made other choices including starting a business and creating her family. Fortunately, she never lost sight of her desire to be published, and this year the time was finally right for her to make her dream come true – not just once, but twice!

She said, “I just decided this past August that I was going to do this. I really believe that sometimes the stars all align perfectly, and I believe everything happens for a reason. I found Scriptor Publishing…and I think that by just knowing that I had some kind of direction from them that I would be able to do this.”
